p.s. Yui had a great day today. She studied English went wine tasting, visited an art/craft gallery, and practiced English conversation (all with Jo) and then did a cycling tour and played golf. Wow all in one day!

Subtitles (learning directions)....

Hi everyone! I found this video on YouTube. I like it because it uses 'real English' at native speed. The only problem is it has 'subtitles'. Of course 'subtitles' are very helpful but they are not so helpful for improving listening skills. Subtitles that you can turn off and on are good because you can listen first and then check using the subtitles.

What do you think?

When watching an English movie on DVD do you listen first and then turn on the subtitles or do you watch with the subtitles always on?
